Electricians in Florida

Florida has two kinds of electrical contractor. Hurricanes drive much of the work: service masts pulled off walls, flooded panels, and steady demand for generators and transfer equipment.

Florida electrician licensing

Florida has two kinds of electrical contractor. A certified contractor is licensed by the state board and may work anywhere in Florida. A registered contractor holds a local competency card and may work only in the counties where it is registered. Journeyman cards are issued by counties, not the state.
