Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

What we have done

• Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and lists, with one main heading per page.
• All functions, including menus and the callback form, work with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
• Text and button colors are chosen to meet contrast requirements.
• Images have text alternatives that describe what is shown.
• Form fields have labels, and errors are announced and described in text.
• Tables scroll within their own region on small screens instead of forcing the page to scroll sideways.
• Motion is minimal and respects the reduced-motion setting.

Known limitations

Links to city, state and utility websites lead to pages we do not control, which may not meet the same standard. Some linked documents are PDFs.
